NEC3 ECC quiz
Many live contracts are still on NEC3, and the numbers catch out anyone used to NEC4. This quiz is on the April 2013 edition of the ECC, with its own terms: Employer, Works Information, Risk Register.
A particular trap: NEC3 has no rule treating a programme as accepted, and early warnings are in clause 16, not 15. If you are moving between editions, read NEC3 vs NEC4 first.
What next?
Try another contract family, put it into practice in a role-play, or keep a clause sheet beside you.
General information in our own words, not legal advice. Your own contract decides.
